The French mineral water company Vittel became an official drinks supplier for the Tour de France in 1968. This bottle is one they supplied to the race during the early 1970s, hence the image of Eddy Merckx on the bottle.

The bottle was manufactured in Belgium by Plastique Gilac and is a great piece of Tour de France memorabilia.
