Another jersey from the Debosscher collection. This one is a silk track jersey from the 1970s. Conti was another of Debosscher’s solo sponsors, for 1983 this time, and this is a beautiful example of the sort of stylish, understated jerseys many teams had in the 1970s. Silk was used for track and TT races back then because it was thought to be more aerodynamic than wool. The jersey has no pockets and the lettering on it is embroidered. It would look fantastic framed and hung on a wall.
