Clément

Description
Clément
Part of a collection bought from the Belgian six-day racer Willy Debosscher, who was famous in the 1970s and ‘80s as the joker and entertainer of six-day racing. It’s a very colourful 80% wool 20% acrylic knitted jersey. Clément was a Franco-Italian tyre manufacturers founded in the early 1900s by Adolphe Clément-Bayard, and revived as a tyre brand in America in 2010.
Debosscher rode for a number of teams but by the end of his career he found sponsors like Clément to fund his racing. Clément was the last such sponsor for his final year as a pro in 1985, when he was 42 years old.
