Francesco Moser

Description
Francesco Moser
A poster produced by the Italian equipment manufacturer Miche, who sponsored and supplied much of the technology for Francesco Moser’s Hour Record celebration in 1994. That’s what Moser called it, a celebration of the fact that ten years before he broke Eddy Merckx’s seemingly invincible 1972 Hour Record. Moser was over 40 when he rode the Graeme Obree inspired bike in this photo, and he was trying to get as close as he could to his own furthest distance of 51.151 kilometres. He didn’t manage it, but what a photo!
The message on the bottom of the poster is from Moser to Miche, and he’s thanking the company for their help. He also signed the message. However, this is a print, not the original. So it isn’t a signed poster. Cracking photo, though.
